University of Tennessee fans will be able to fly nonstop to Fayetteville to see this year’s football game against the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Delta Air Lines announced over the weekend its full schedule of nonstop flights built around the 2026 college football season.
The Tennessee-Arkansas game is scheduled for October 10. Initially, the round-trip fare for a nonstop flight was $2,121 when it was first posted on Sunday night. However, by Tuesday morning, the fare had significantly decreased to a reasonable $581. Additionally, round-trip flights on Delta with a connection could be obtained for a more affordable price of $401.
In all, Delta added about 40 nonstop flights to college football game places, giving its most attention to the Notre Dame schedule. It added flights related to Norte Dame games against Wisconsin (in Green Bay), Rice, Michigan State, Stanford, Miami, Boston College and SMU.
Two other large carriers that serve XNA — United Airlines and American Airlines — often publish football-focused schedules, and there’s no way to know whether Arkansas games this year will be of interest to those airlines.
The best candidate for the airlines’ attention this year could be the Nov. 21 game against Texas in Austin.
United last year published its schedule in July, adding a nonstop flight to support Notre Dame fans’ travel to Fayetteville. Later in the season, United flew Arkansas fans nonstop to Baton Rouge for the LSU game.
The American Airlines college football schedule last season drew fans from South Bend to watch Notre Dame play at Arkansas. Additionally, American Airlines offered a nonstop flight that transported Razorbacks’ fans to the Texas game in Austin.
